Caring Gene® Career Pathways Training (CPT) program
At St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, we’re proud to announce our partnership with the Caring Gene® Career Pathways Training (CPT) program. Through this partnership, eligible New York State residents and residents of certain bordering states receive full coverage of tuition, books, and academic fees while pursuing education in 13 healthcare fields. This is a unique opportunity designed to help you pursue health care careers with generous funding in exchange for a three-year service commitment with a provider in New York State that serves a patient population of at least 30% Medicaid-reliant or uninsured individuals.

- Financial Support: Eligible students may receive funding to fully cover tuition, fees, books, and supplies when combined with federal and state grants.
- Focus on Care: By alleviating financial burdens, the Caring Gene funding allows you to concentrate on what truly matters—developing the skills and abilities needed to provide safe and effective patient-centered care in our community.
A Commitment to Community and Service
- Service Requirement: After completing your educational program, you’ll commit to a three-year service with a health care, behavioral health, or social care provider in New York State. This provider must serve a community where at least 30% of patients are Medicaid recipients or uninsured. Additionally, students must complete their degree by Spring 2027 and fulfill the service requirement by 2031.
