A confirmation email will be sent if your account has been successfully created. Please check your e-mail “spam” folder if you have not received a confirmation email.
The following items must be received by the Admissions Department for your application to be considered complete:

- Official High School Transcript or GED: *Required for all applicants*.
- Official College Transcript: from ALL colleges attended.
- Personal Statement/Essay: This can be entered on the “additional information page” or sent as an e-mail attachment to admissions@sjhcon.edu
- Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Letters must be sent in sealed envelopes directly from the reference or emailed directly from the reference to admissions@sjhcon.edu

- High School Seniors: Two (2) letters of recommendation required. One (1) or both from High School Counselors or teachers. One (1) from a professional representative (e.g., clergy, coaches, employers, teachers, etc.).
- All Other Applicants: Two (2) professional letters of recommendation Recommendations from family members or friends will not be accepted.
- Nursing Transfers: One (1) letter of recommendation from dean/director of nursing program & one (1) professional letter of recommendation

The Applicant must complete page one (1) and give both pages to the evaluator/professional to complete page two (2), with an addressed/stamped envelope.

As applicants move forward in the application process, they will receive a confirmation email. Log into your SonisWeb account (using e-mail & pin) to view the status of checklist items. It is important to submit all transcripts, an essay, and two professional/counselor recommendations with your application to be considered complete.
The Admissions Committee reviews complete applications soon after the target date; decisions are sent by e-mail or USPS mail.
Incomplete applications will not be considered and will be kept on file for one year. Application materials become the property of St. Joseph’s College of Nursing; materials will not be returned.
Priority will be given to applicants who submit an application, 2 letters of recommendation and all transcripts prior to the application submission deadline.
